Hee, did this a while back. And as I noted then, where are the strange-to-most-others foods of my heritage? No schaav, pickled herring, matzoh balls, stuffed derma ... .

Wow, this does have some longevity!

I agree it's really patchy. No Gefilte? (Maybe they felt it fell under carp?) Or Lutefisk? That's a classic. Or the multitudinous varieties of organ meats I grew up with? (Tongue, stuffed beef heart, steak'n'kidney, suet pudding...)

Yeah, smillaraaq was noting the absence of most organ meats, and also of interesting veggies.
